The Twin Falls Rapids is a competitive program within the Twin Falls Youth Soccer Association (TFYSA). The Rapids program was formed in 2000 by a group of parents and coaches interested in the development of our youth through their participation in competitive soccer. The purpose of the Rapids is to provide a fun environment where outstanding young players are assembled to improve their soccer skills and to learn positive life skills through hard work and competition. The Rapids program aims to provide the best coaching staff available to compete against similarly organized teams from other towns and regions. The Rapids soccer program is committed to continuously improving the quality of training for our players.
WHAT IS THE Parent's COMMITMENT TO COMPETITIVE SOCCER?
A competitive soccer program requires a greater commitment on the parent’s part towards fundraising, travel and overall involvement as a volunteer. However, most parents discover that this commitment is not nearly as time and money consumed as feared. Parents are required to work together to raise money, car pool, and fulfill team responsibilities, making the load easier on everyone. Many parents come to look at tournament weekends as an opportunity to travel and spend a family weekend together.
The Rapids soccer program is committed to keeping the cost as low as possible so that all players can participate, regardless of financial reasons.
